PBS Documentary - "Return to the Soil"

It is such an honor to announce that our family has been featured in a PBS documentary about how Japanese American farmers overcame challenges during World War II.  In our case (starting at the 18:24 mark of the video), the episode chronicles our continued focus on maintaining/operating the family vineyard and now our journey into wine.  We are so thankful to Gayle Yamada, the producer and braintrust, and the team at PBS-KVIE for such a wonderful production.

Awards for the 2020 Vintage

It is extremely exciting and humbling to have our wines recognized by the wider industry audience.  In this case, the 2020 Petite Sirah has racked up a 90-point score from Wine Enthusiast, a Double Gold Medal from the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, and also a Gold Medal from the San Francisco International Wine Competition.   Not to be outdone, the 2020 Zinfandel also was recognized with a Gold Medal from the San Francisco Chronicle competition.   As we always say, awards and ratings are not the "end all be all" for how we think about our wines.  One's palette is ultimately the final arbiter of...

Best of Class for the 2019 Petite Sirah!

We want to announce that the 2019 Petite Sirah has just been awarded Best of Class by the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition. We are extremely humbled by the award as this designation represents a unanimous decision by the judging panel that this wine was the most outstanding of all entries in the category.  Amazingly, this marks two years in a row where we have been recognized with this award, with last year's 2018 Zinfandel also receiving this praise.
