Overview:
At the end of 2022, we encountered historic rains with atmospheric river events leading to above average rainfall through March of 2023. The wet winter translated to an extremely vigorous vineyard, requiring careful management in the spring and early summer to ensure we had the proper canopy and fruit load. What resulted was another fantastic vintage, with our signature characteristics noted below.
Tasting Notes:
Vibrant, ruby color with a medium to dark red hue. This effort has an aromatic profile that hits all of the classic Zinfandel characteristics: ripe, brambly, fully developed red fruit notes that carry spicy and earthy notes that add complexity to the overall experience. The palate is medium to full bodied, showing off an underlying toasty oak expression that supports the layered and fleshy Zin fruit flavors.
