2014 Zinfandel – Lodi

The 2014 Zinfandel was harvested on September 12 from a dedicated block of 450 vines and aged for more than 15-months.

Tasting Notes:
Medium deep red color with a ruby garnet hue. This well balanced wine exhibits ripe aromas of dried and juicy red currants with the classic Zinfandel brambly notes that are a hallmark of this site. Medium bodied and offering good grip, this wine has an overall roundness that makes for an enjoyable experience, and shows nice balance between fruit flavors, acidity and subtle tannins that linger with the red cherry fruit finish.

2016 Rosé – Lodi (Sold Out)

Tasting Notes:

A beautiful, vibrant dark pink color with a pomegranate hue. A lovely nose of perfumed strawberries, watermelon, and yellow peach that is quite layered. On the palate, the flavors echo the aromatic profile beautifully, anchored by the steely acidity that adds freshness and lengthens the finish.

2013 Zinfandel – Lodi (Sold Out)

This vintage was harvested from a reserved block of 450 vines in the early morning of October 10 and aged for more than 15-months in American and French barrels.

Tasting Notes:
Bright, vibrant red color with a garnet hue.  The nose of this wine is packed with ripe red fruit aromas, enveloped by a lovely cinnamon spice note that enhances the nose, along with some toasty notes.  This wine is extremely polished and round, medium full body, quite savory and layered that leads to a beautiful long finish.

2015 Rosé – Lodi (Sold Out)

The inaugural vintage of our fully dry Rosé.  An extremely small number of cases were produced under Kian’s skilled winemaking.  Unlike other Rosés that are light in flavor and complexity, this wine features a long finish and a great presentation on the palate.

Tasting Notes:
Deep, brilliant dark pink color. A lively, vibrant nose of raspberry and pomegranate aromatics, with subtle cinnamon spice notes. This wine is wonderfully refreshing on the palate, with balanced acidity that compliments the red fruit flavors beautifully; it finishes with a crisp, long finish. A versatile wine that will compliment many dishes.

2012 Zinfandel – Lodi (Sold Out)

Our 2012 Zinfandel was harvested on October 15 and aged for more than 14-months.  It represents our 5th vintage and continues to showcase the efforts we make both in the vineyard and in the winery to craft an elegant and balanced wine.

Tasting Notes:
Medium deep color with a ruby garnet hue.  Showing a beautiful nose of fresh, ripe fruit aromas integrated with toasty oak notes that lift the nose well.  On the palate, it is ripe and briary, with toasty dark cherry and chocolate flavors. It offers youthful flavors of blackberry, licorice, and peppery dried herbs. It has a medium long finish, fully enhanced by its elegance.

2011 Zinfandel – Lodi (Sold Out)

Sourced from a dedicated block of 300 vines on our 15-acre estate, the 2011 Zinfandel was harvested on October 10 and aged for more than 15-months.  The 2011 continues our tradition of wines that are bold, but balanced, and reflects our desire to produce a wine that can be enjoyed with a meal or savored completely on its own.

Tasting Notes:
Deep, dark red color with a ruby garnet hue.  A complex nose of spicy dark and red fruit aromas integrated with subtle oak notes that enhance the layers of fruit.  Balanced and focused, this wine offers plenty of ripe fruit flavors in the entry and midpalate, leading to a rich and enhanced finish that lingers with lovely spice and earthy nuances.

2010 Zinfandel – Lodi (Sold Out)

Tastings of the 2010 clearly demonstrate why this is believed to be one of the greatest vintages the Lodi appellation has ever produced. We will only be allocating the 2010 vintage to members of our newsletter membership. Please contact us right away as there is an extremely limited number of cases available.

Tasting Notes:
Deep, dark red color with a purplish hue. The nose of this wine is packed with ripe brambley fruit that is layered and multidimensional. There is subtle oak notes that are fully integrated and add sweet complexity. There is a lush, fleshy note in the entry that leads to a round and balanced midpalate packed with delicious blackberry fruit flavors. The finish is polished and soft, lasting over 30 seconds.

2009 Zinfandel – Lodi (Sold Out)

The 2009 vintage was sourced from a block of 100 vines dedicated solely for this release. We harvested the fruit in the early morning of October 28 and bottled the wine after 13-months of barrel aging.

Tasting Notes:
Medium deep color with a vibrant bright red hue. The nose exhibits spicy cinnamon and raspberry aromas with subtle oak enveloping the nose. On the palate, it is juicy and lively with crisp cherry, anise and mineral flavors.

2008 Zinfandel – Lodi (Sold Out)

Our extremely limited first release, the 2008 Zinfandel was sourced from the estate vineyard in Lodi. The 2008 growing season was highlighted by an extended growing season with temperate weather lasting through October. We took advantage of Mother Nature’s extended warm weather, including a late season heat surge, to produce a beautiful harvest on October 30. After barrel aging for 13 months in a combination of new and neutral oak, the first vintage was released in April 2010.

Tasting Notes:
Vibrant, med purple garnet color. Tons of jammy berry fruit – raspberry, blackberry. Ripe berry fruit dominates. Excellent structure with good acid, med tannins, and alcohol in balance.
