Winemaking Notes:
- As with all of our wines, all of the fruit was sourced from our family vineyard. Each variety was harvested, processed and aged independently and carefully blended to create this wine.
- The final blend composition is 39% Grenache, 38% Syrah, 23% Mourvèdre.
Tasting Notes:
A vibrant medium dark red color with a ruby garnet hue. On the nose, the fresh fruit aroma of red cherries and raspberries are accented with some spicy clove notes and hints of black pepper and underwood. On the palate, this balanced wine is medium bodied with a velvety texture. The classic Rhone blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre are beautifully integrated, exhibiting ripe fruit notes and refined soft tannins that add depth to the long finish.
Food Pairings:
With the combination of the red fruit and pepper notes, the GSM is pairing fantastically with spicy tomato based pastas and pizzas.
