Awards:
Experience Rosé (Rosé only) Competition - 92 points and Gold Medal.
Tasting Notes from the Competition Panel: Good minerality, cherry blossom aromatics, good dinner wine, bright and lush, pair with paella.
Winemaking Notes:
This wine is a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah juice that were bled immediately following the processing of each of these lots, so as to minimize the skin contact, resulting in a lighter colored Rose. The juice was placed in stainless steel vessels and moved into the cellar so as to undergo a cool and steady fermentation, enhancing the fruit and floral aromatics of the finished wine. Similar to the Zin Rose, this wine does not undergo Malolactic conversion.
Tasting Notes:
Vibrant peach/light salmon color. Fresh nose of stone fruits with a subtle tropical undertone. Bright and lively on the palate, the acid profile is well balanced and lifts the apricot and peach flavors that dominate the mid-palate. The long and balanced finish ensures that another sip is forthcoming for continued enjoyment.
